August 15 will see a major box office clash as three big Hindi films 'Khel Khel Mein', 'Stree 2' and 'Vedaa' release on the same day. This marks the third time Akshay Kumar and John Abraham’s films will clash on Independence Day following similar releases in 2018 and 2019.
Despite these clashes both actors maintain a strong friendship with Akshay stating he isn't worried about their films releasing together calling it “just a clash, not a slash.”
Khel Khel Mein marks Akshay’s return to comedy after five years with several upcoming comedic projects in his lineup. Director Mudassar Aziz and co-stars Fardeen Khan and Ammy Virk expressed their support for the competing films emphasizing that all should succeed during the long weekend.
They view the multiple releases as an opportunity for higher box office numbers rather than competition urging audiences to enjoy all three films.
