Ananya Panday Ready for Item Songs

In the past, item songs were primarily performed by dedicated dancers like Jayamalini, Silk Smitha, and Anuradha. However, today, this trend has shifted, with leading actresses taking up the mantle of performing in these special numbers. From Aishwarya Rai to Shriya, Samantha, Kajal, Tamannaah, and recently Trisha, several star heroines have dazzled in item songs. 

Now, Bollywood actress Ananya Panday has also expressed her willingness to join the list. In a recent interview, she shared, "I have no objection to performing item songs, but they must be relevant to the storyline. Some songs are inserted unnecessarily, and I wouldn't want to perform in such numbers. If the story demands it, I would definitely consider doing an item song."

Ananya’s statement highlights a growing trend where top actresses now play a significant role in popular item songs, demanding a connection to the narrative instead of appearing randomly.
