Ananya Panday Opens Up On 'Flat Screen TV' Comments

Actor Ananya Panday, who shone in CTRL and Call Me Bae last year, reflected on the pressures of beauty standards in a recent interview.

Ananya revealed her childhood insecurities, sharing that she was often called a "hunchback," had "toothpick legs," or was compared to a "flat screen TV." These remarks, made during her school years, left a lasting impact, demonstrating how words can deeply affect self-esteem.

She acknowledged that actors face immense pressure to maintain ideal appearances but stressed the importance of honesty. "I have off days too," she said, noting that her fitness takes consistent effort. By speaking openly about her challenges, Ananya hopes to show that perfection is unattainable and inspire more realistic body standards.

On the work front, she will star in Chand Mera Dil and a film about lawyer C. Sankaran Nair alongside Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan, slated for 2025 releases.
