Actor Allu Arjun has petitioned the Telangana High Court to cancel an FIR filed against him after a tragic incident during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule in Hyderabad.
On December 4, a stampede at Sandhya Theatre claimed the life of Revathi, 39, due to asphyxiation, while her eight-year-old son was hospitalized. The victim's family filed a complaint, accusing the theatre management, Allu Arjun, and his security team of negligence. Police investigations are ongoing.
Over one lakh fans attended the event, and aggressive crowd management by Arjun’s security team allegedly caused chaos, worsening the situation. The actor later expressed his grief at a press conference, stating the tragedy deeply affected him and his team emotionally.
Arjun provided Rs 25 lakh as financial assistance to the victim's family, emphasizing that while it could not replace their loss, he would continue offering support in any way possible.
