Akshay Kumar Says 'Tom And Jerry' Is Violence

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar recently made a surprising statement claiming that the classic cartoon Tom and Jerry is not a comedy but "violence." 

During a conversation with Pinkvilla, when Fardeen Khan mentioned Tom and Jerry as one of his favorite comedies, Akshay interrupted asserting that the cartoon is pure action and violence. He revealed that he has even borrowed many of his action scenes from the show including a helicopter sequence. Akshay also mentioned drawing inspiration for his stunts from the National Geographic channel.

On the work front Akshay's upcoming film Khel Khel Mein is set to release on August 15 clashing with Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 and John Abraham's Vedaa. The film which stars Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor and others is a remake of the Italian hit Perfect Strangers which has been remade in over 20 countries since its 2016 release.
