Adnan Sami's Reaction On His Indian Citizenship

Singer Adnan Sami, who acquired Indian citizenship in 2016 responded to a social media user praising his decision to move to India. 

The user commented under Adnan's Independence Day post on Instagram saying he left Pakistan at the right time implying he avoided difficulties there. 

Adnan shared this comment on his X account, adding, "Don’t question my wisdom next time!! #karma." 

After his post many Indians expressed their appreciation for him saying they are lucky to have him. Some users discussed the challenges of obtaining Indian citizenship highlighting that Adnan’s journey took 18 years and that he was stateless for a year and a half after renouncing his original citizenship and facing rejections. 

Despite political tensions between India and Pakistan Adnan emphasized in interviews that his decision to relocate was purely personal and unrelated to politics rooted in his career as a musician and his love for India.
