Aditi Rao On Her Beautiful 'Swan Walk'

Aditi Rao Hydari's performance as courtesan Bibbojaan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Heeramandi' has received praise especially for her distinctive "Gajagamini walk" in the song "Saiyaan Hatto Jaao." 

Aditi expressed uncertainty about the exact nature of her walk questioning whether it was indeed the "Gajagamini walk" or another type like the "swan walk." She explained that she simply followed Bhansali's direction.

Aditi said that Bhansali's talent for creating unique elements during filming sharing how he crafted nuances on the spot. 

She recounted an anecdote where Bhansali reassured her about her appearance post Covid telling her she looked beautiful and ready to shoot which she greatly valued, calling him an incredible teacher.

"Heeramandi" is set in pre-partition Lahore focusing on the lives of courtesans during the Indian independence movement. 

Despite criticism for historical inaccuracies the series features a notable cast including Sonakshi Sinha, Sharmin Segal, Richa Chadha, Shekhar Suman, Fardeen Khan, Adhyayan Suman, and Farida Jalal.
