Adah Sharma, known for her roles in The Kerala Story and Bastar, is set to star in her upcoming show Reeta Sanyal where she will play 10 different characters. In an interview she reflected on her career expressing gratitude for not being typecast and having the chance to explore diverse roles.
After her debut in 1920, where people mistook her for a foreigner due to her pale look and blue lenses, she didn’t correct the misunderstanding, as there was no social media at the time. In Reeta Sanyal, she feels lucky to experiment with accents and personalities.
The show, directed by Abhirup Ghosh, follows a lawyer handling complex legal cases and premieres on October 14, 2024, on Disney+ Hotstar. It will stream for free on the mobile app, with new episodes released from Monday to Friday.
