Actress Vows to Pursue Harassment Cases

A 51-year-old Malayalam actress, who recently accused prominent actors of sexual harassment, announced her decision on November 24 to continue pursuing legal action despite earlier plans to withdraw. Initially citing despair, lack of government support, and mental exhaustion, she reconsidered after encouragement from her family.

"My husband urged me to proceed, assuring full family support," she stated, reaffirming her resolve for justice. The actress previously accused several actors, including CPI(M) MLA M Mukesh, of abuse and alleged attempts to falsely implicate her in a POCSO case after lodging her complaints.

Her allegations coincide with the Justice Hema Committee report, which exposed systemic exploitation of women in the Malayalam film industry. The report, submitted to the Kerala High Court, led to 26 FIRs registered by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).

The actress reiterated her commitment to cooperate with the SIT and stressed that no complaint would be withdrawn, seeking accountability for her harassers.
