Actress Says 'He Raped Me When I Was 21'

The Hema report has stirred controversy in the Malayalam film industry with actress Revathy Sampath accusing actors Siddique and Riyaz Khan of sexual misconduct.

Revathy alleged that Siddique raped her when she was 21 describing how he lured her to a hotel room, assaulted her and locked her inside before she managed to escape. 

She stated that Siddique's actions caused her severe mental trauma and impacted her professional life. She also claimed that Khan made sexual advances toward her over the phone when she was 20 asking her about sexual preferences and even suggesting she 'arrange some women' for him. 

Revathy said she was shocked and unable to respond to Khan’s advances. In light of her accusations Siddique has resigned as the general secretary of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) while Khan has yet to respond to the allegations.
