A feud appears to be emerging in Bollywood as Divya Khosla Kumar has accused Alia Bhatt of inflating box office numbers for her latest film Jigra. Divya claimed that Alia purchased tickets to create a "fake collection" and criticized the media for remaining silent on the issue.
Sharing a photo of an empty theater Divya pointed out that Jigra shows were not attracting audiences. This controversy comes amid comparisons between Divya's film Savi and Jigra, both involving characters attempting a jailbreak.
Jigra released on October 11 had a slow start collecting Rs 4.25 crore in India on its first day. Directed by Vasan Bala the film tells the emotional story of a sister played by Alia, trying to save her brother from death row. Alia co-produced the film under her banner Eternal Sunshine Productions.
