Nora Fatehi who is known for her dance performances in Bollywood recently revealed she almost refused to shoot the popular song Dilbar due to an overly revealing costume. Speaking at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2024, she recalled insisting on adjustments to her blouse which she felt was “too tiny.”
Nora wanted Dilbar to be more than just a typical item song focusing instead on dance quality so that it would appeal to all audiences including families.
Nora explained that while many songs rely on showing skin, her vision was for intense choreography rather than overt sexuality. She told the filmmakers, “Don’t oversexualize me,” wanting the song to stay “sexy” but not “vulgar.” The team ultimately adjusted her blouse to her comfort level.
Nora was recently featured in Madgaon Express and is set to debut in Telugu cinema with the period drama Matka, starring Varun Tej and Meenakshi Chaudhary.
