Rupali Ganguly who is known for her role in the TV series 'Anupamaa' had revealed that she adopted the Gujarati accent for her character from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speeches. She learned it from observing people and admired how PM Modi embraces his Gujarati roots.
Ganguly explained that she noticed Anupamaa, her character speaks Hindi with a Gujarati accent, which she aimed to replicate. She also mentioned her childhood neighbor's influence on her Hindi pronunciation. 'Anupamaa' depicts the journey of a divorced middle aged woman.
Ganguly recently met PM Modi at the National Creators Awards and earlier he featured her in a 'vocal for local' ad campaign. She expressed gratitude for the acknowledgment by describing it as 'surreal and unreal.'
'Anupamaa' enjoys significant viewership on Indian television by captivating audiences with its portrayal of a woman navigating life post divorce.
