Rhea Chakraborty has been granted permission to take a vacation in Thailand following the cancellation of a look-out circular by the Bombay High Court. This decision comes amid her involvement as a suspect in a drug-related case linked to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June 2020.
The Bombay High Court's order led to the removal of the look-out circular against Rhea and her brother Showik. Consequently they have been given clearance by the special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act court to travel abroad. Additionally they have been permitted to visit Sri Lanka for a Holi celebration following their trip to Thailand.
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) initiated legal action against Showik and Rhea as part of its investigation into alleged connections between Bollywood figures and drug suppliers following Sushant Singh's tragic demise at his Mumbai residence.
Rhea, Sushant's girlfriend, was arrested by the NCB in September of that year. Subsequently her brother along with Rajput's house manager Samuel Miranda and friend Dipesh Sawant, were also arrested.
