Actor Who Played Zuckerberg Slams Zuckerberg

Jesse Eisenberg, known for portraying Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network (2010), recently criticized the Meta CEO in a BBC interview. He voiced concerns about Zuckerberg’s influence on free speech, Meta’s reduction of diversity programs, and the removal of independent fact-checkers on Facebook and Instagram.

Eisenberg highlighted safety issues, arguing that Meta’s shift to community-based moderation increases risks for vulnerable groups. He condemned billionaires like Zuckerberg for using their wealth to support harmful agendas, influenced by his wife’s work in disability justice. Eisenberg’s comments, made amidst debates following Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th U.S. president, sparked widespread online support.

Many praised him for speaking out against corporate overreach and using his platform responsibly. Currently, Eisenberg is promoting A Real Pain, a comedy-drama he wrote, directed, and stars in, inspired by his family’s history and filmed partly in Poland.
