Sandeep Reddy Vanga has been the topic of the nation ever since his 'Animal' stirred controversy and turned out to be a massive hit.
At this juncture, even the past films of Vanga are coming into discussion.
Actor Adil Hussain recently expressed regret for his involvement in the movie 'Kabir Singh' directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Shahid Kapoor.
Adil confessed that he hadn't read the script before agreeing to the role and upon watching the film in theaters he walked out after just 20 minutes.
He criticized "Kabir Singh" as misogynistic, saying it made him feel small as a person.
Adil emphasized that while filmmakers have the freedom to create their vision he doesn't have to agree with it.
He believes the film glorifies male misogyny and violence which he finds harmful to society.
Initially hesitant due to time constraints Adil eventually accepted the role after being sent a scene from the movie.
However, he had requested the full script which was not provided. He hoped to dissuade the producers by asking for a large fee, but they agreed.
Adil expressed embarrassment at the thought of his wife watching the film and clarified he hasn't seen "Animal," so he can't comment on it. In "Kabir Singh," he portrayed Shahid Kapoor's college professor.
