Actor Emotional Recalling Mother's Death

Rajkummar Rao, in a podcast with Samdish Bhatia recalled learning about his mother’s death while filming Newton. He shared how a crew member rushed towards him, and soon after his partner Patralekhaa called to break the sad news. 

Despite the shock Rajkummar, concerned about the film's small budget informed the production that he would return after a day. Although the makers offered him more time to grieve he completed his mother's last rites and returned to work. 

Emotionally overwhelmed Rajkummar struggled to cope on set but a close friend supported him. He expressed regret about not spending more time with his parents, revealing that his mother, who passed in 2016 had heart issues and dementia. She always wanted to meet Amitabh Bachchan, but Rajkummar still feels her presence around him.
