Abhishek Banerjee is now the talk of Bollywood for his sterling portrayals in Stree 2 and Vedaa.
Abhishek Banerjee, known for his comedy roles in films like Stree and Bhediya, plays the antagonist in Vedaa. He recently shared that he initially doubted director Nikkhil Advani's decision to cast him as the villain, feeling unsure about standing opposite the well-built John Abraham.
However, Banerjee found confidence during the action scenes, drawing on his martial arts training. He praised John Abraham as a "gentle giant" who was supportive during filming. Vedaa, directed by Nikkhil Advani and featuring a cast that includes John Abraham, Sharvari, Tamannaah Bhatia, and others, was released on August 15. The film is produced by Zee Studios, Emmay Entertainment, and JA Entertainment. Alongside Vedaa, Banerjee is set to appear in the South Indian film Suriya 44.
Vedaa faced competition at the box office, releasing on the same day as Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, and Khel Khel Mein, featuring Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, and Vaani Kapoor.
