Sandeep Reddy Vanga, currently basking in the immense success of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Animal,' is reportedly in discussions with superstar Salman Khan for a potential collaboration on a dark thriller.
As per a Filmfare report, talks are underway between the director and Salman Khan for the project. Vanga is simultaneously engaged in projects with Allu Arjun and Prabhas.
Although there is no official confirmation on the collaboration with Salman Khan yet, it adds to Vanga's growing list of high-profile projects.
Previously, Vanga shared an interesting encounter with Ranveer Singh, who reached out to him for a lengthy 40-minute phone conversation after the release of 'Animal.'
While the details of the conversation were not disclosed, Vanga found Singh's insights enjoyable, with the actor noting similarities between 'Animal' and his own work.
The filmmaker expressed his surprise at the unexpected call from Singh, underscoring the actor's keen observations.
In a recent interview, Vanga addressed criticism from the second ex-wife of a superstar, who had raised concerns about films like 'Baahubali 2' and 'Kabir Singh,' alleging they promoted misogyny and endorsed stalking.
Vanga defended his work by distinguishing between respectful approaches and stalking.
He countered the comparison by pointing out that, unlike the character in 'Darr' who persistently pursues the object of his affection, 'Kabir Singh' features a protagonist expressing romantic interest within the bounds of a classroom setting.
Vanga questioned the need to amplify a common and acceptable practice of expressing romantic interest.
