Movie Gossip
Following the success of the Hindi film "Animal" starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, the director decided to revisit his roots and venture into Telugu cinema.
Since the announcement of his collaboration with Prabhas, anticipation among their fans has been palpable.
The upcoming film "Spirit" is poised to be another intense narrative, aligning with the director's penchant for crafting gritty stories akin to "Kabir Singh."
What's even more intriguing is that Sandeep Reddy Vanga is reportedly set to receive a compensation similar to that of renowned director SS Rajamouli.
According to a report by Telugu Cinema, Vanga and his brother, who is also a producer, earned a staggering Rs 200 crore for the Ranbir starrer.
SS Rajamouli typically commands a remuneration ranging from Rs 100 to 150 crore for each project.
Should Sandeep's forthcoming Telugu venture achieve box office success comparable to Rajamouli's endeavors, he stands to earn a commensurate fee.
The report suggests that T-Series and Vanga, in collaboration, are financing the film, with extensive pre-release plans in place.
The success of "Animal" has proven beneficial for all involved parties, leading to expectations of a fee ranging between 125-150 crores for Vanga, akin to Rajamouli's compensation.
Meanwhile, "Spirit," featuring Prabhas, is poised to be a gripping cop thriller, with Sandeep himself penning the story. Earlier reports hinted at the film sharing the same universe as "Animal."
In addition to "Spirit," Prabhas is also set to star in "2898," a sci-fi dystopian film helmed by Nag Ashwin.
