Actress and politician Urmila Matondkar, renowned for films like Rangeela and Bhoot has filed for divorce from her husband Mohsin Akhtar Mir after eight years of marriage. Speculations regarding the divorce are circulating online. One potential reason is the ten year age difference with Urmila being older and marrying later in life.
Marriages with significant age gaps often face complications. Additionally, challenges related to having children may arise especially if there are family pressures involved. Financial disagreements have also been suggested as a contributing factor with claims that Mohsin and his family pressured Urmila to sell her property for their business leaving her with nothing.
Reports indicate that Urmila initiated the divorce four months ago and it is not mutual. Mohsin, a businessman and model from Kashmir met Urmila at a wedding in 2014 and they were married in an intimate ceremony in 2016 attended by close friends.
