Confession: Fake Laughs At Kapil Sharma's Show

The Kapil Sharma Show is a famous entertainment program on the small screen in India, where Archana Puran Singh erupts into loud laughter at the jokes, gestures, and punchlines of both the guests and the main host, Kapil Sharma.

During an interview with a media outlet, Archana confessed that she often laughs more than what comes naturally to her by aiming to inject zest and energy into the show.

The producers also encouraged her to do so even for jokes that might not be particularly funny so that even those jokes would seem amusing as Archana's laughter spreads like wildfire in the audience.

But Archana also admitted that as a result she faced heavy trolling from netizens, who criticized her for drowning out the genuine laughter of other participants on the show.

It is indeed true that the majority of comedy shows in any language on Indian TV are filled with artificial laughter and the hosts and co hosts are paid to do so.
