Ajith’s Rs 160 crore Remuneration and Monthly Conditions

Ajith’s Rs 160 crore Remuneration and Monthly Conditions

Good Bad Ugly is the much-talked-about film starring Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar, produced by top Telugu banner Mythri Movie Makers. It’s a big deal when a Telugu production house collaborates with a Tamil icon. However, according to industry insiders, working with Ajith is no easy feat. It’s said to be like walking a tightrope.

Everything goes smoothly up to a point — discussing the story, locking the script, and reaching a mutual agreement. But the real challenge begins afterward.

Tamil actors are known for not accepting black money — they insist on 100% white payments, with GST included. That’s a plus for producers. But Ajith takes it a step further with his strict payment schedule.

Once he signs a project, Ajith reportedly takes a token advance of around Rs 10 crore. From there, every 5th of the month, Rs 15 crore must be credited to his account — without fail. If the 5th happens to be a bank holiday, the payment has to be made on the 4th instead!

This continues throughout the shooting period. His total remuneration comes to around Rs 160 crore (plus GST). That means 10 months of punctual payments, Rs 15 crore each month. Any delay or deviation from the date is absolutely unacceptable to Ajith, it seems.

Despite all this, Mythri Movie Makers is reportedly planning another film with Ajith. While Good Bad Ugly didn’t exactly turn out to be a blockbuster and fell slightly short of the break-even point, the production house seems eager to try again.

But this time, they’re rumored to be negotiating a discounted fee.

Ajith’s “5th of the month” clause is clearly becoming something of a legend — and it’s definitely not for faint-hearted producers!
