Tech Layoffs: 1.4 Lakh Jobs Cut This Year

Amid fears of an economic slowdown, tech companies are tightening their belts and significantly reducing their workforce to cut operational costs.

Companies that laid off thousands of tech professionals in the first half of 2024 are continuing the trend in the second half as well.

This list includes major firms like IBM, Microsoft, Cisco, Dell, Intel, Qualcomm, and Northvolt, as well as smaller startups like Dozee and WeTransfer.

According to Layoffs.FYI, a total of 1,39,206 tech employees across 511 companies have lost their jobs globally this year so far.
