Pure Veg Demand Influencing Indian Businesses

Vegetarian food demand is increasing in India as indicated by recent statistics.

There has been significant traction for vegetarian restaurants in various cities of India.

Although there is also a bustling demand for non vegetarian restaurants there is an increasing preference among people for separate, exclusive vegetarian restaurants.

This suggests that vegetarians are showing more interest in exclusivity rather than opting for vegetarian options in mixed restaurants and food outlets.

Responding to this demand and aiming to attract vegetarian customers, Zomato has announced its 'Pure Veg Mode' and 'Pure Veg Fleet', which has been well-received by netizens.

Interestingly, in Zomato's Pure Veg model, the food is sourced only from pure vegetarian restaurants, avoiding any vegetarian food that's cooked in non vegetarian restaurants.

Moreover even in expensive cruises and some star hotels some separate sections are being opened for veg and Jain food enthusiasts for ensuring they don't have to wait in line alongside non veg counters.

It's also noteworthy that Ayodhya City is set to witness the world's first pure vegetarian 7 star hotel.

Vegetarianism is becoming an increasingly exclusive phenomenon in India with the nation boasting a higher percentage of vegetarians compared to the rest of the world.
