Nepal has decided to print a new Rs 100 currency note featuring a map that includes disputed territories—Lipulekh, Limpiyadhura, and Kalapani—previously contested by India. Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal led the council of ministers in this decision.
Government spokesperson of Nepal, Rekha Sharma informed the media that the cabinet approved the printing of the new map on May 2, replacing the previous one.
Nepal's move follows its constitutional amendment on June 18, 2020, updating the political map to include these areas, a step India criticized as unilateral and untenable.

Nepal shares a border of more than 1,850 km with five Indian states—Sikkim, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
