MCA Approved For Drone Services In India

Indian logistics firm Delhivery has received approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) to launch its drone subsidiary Delhivery Robotics India Private Limited. 

This new entity established on July 3 will focus on freight air transportation services and provide drone as a service for shipments and remote sensing. 

It will also manufacture and sell unmanned aerial vehicles globally aiming to meet the growing demand for UAVs in logistics and other sectors. 

Additionally the subsidiary will offer drone pilot training. 

Delhivery announced its drone sector plans in February 2023 following its 2021 acquisition of Transition Robotics Inc., a company specializing in small drone prototyping, designing, testing and manufacturing. 

This strategic move signifies Delhivery's commitment to expanding into the drone technology market.
