IT Professionals Struggling with Health Issues

A recent study conducted in collaboration with the University of Hyderabad and the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology has revealed the health issues faced by IT professionals due to long working hours, tight deadlines, lack of exercise, and unhealthy eating habits. The study highlights the serious health concerns that have emerged as a result of continuous work pressure.

Health Issues Identified Among IT Employees:

  • 84% of IT professionals are suffering from fatty liver disease.
  • 71% are affected by obesity.
  • 34% are suffering from metabolic syndrome related to high blood pressure and diabetes.

The survey also indicated that a significant percentage of employees across various sectors are facing high work-related stress:

  • 74.7% of female employees across all sectors are dealing with work pressure.
  • 73.7% of male employees are also facing similar stress.
  • 68.25% of employees have compromised their work-life balance due to work pressure.

This study sheds light on the detrimental effects of excessive work pressure on the health of IT professionals, urging the need for better work-life balance and healthier lifestyle choices.
