The BJP accused AAP minister Atishi of faking her indefinite hunger strike claiming she eats and rests in an AC room.
They posted a video showing an empty protest site and labeled the strike a 'scam'. Delhi MP Bansuri Swaraj called the strike a "sham" to hide Atishi's inefficiency, alleging that the water crisis is orchestrated by AAP to foster corruption.
"What kind of indefinite Satyagraha is this, where Atishi goes to eat and rest in an AC room during lunchtime and at night! A big scam is going on", wrote BHP Delhi in a post on X.
Despite the criticisms, Atishi continued her fast to protest against Haryana's reduced water supply to Delhi impacting 28 lakh people.
She highlighted that Delhi depends on neighboring states for its water and claimed Haryana cut its supply by 100 MGD.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal through his wife expressed his concern for the water crisis.
BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla countered AAP's claims stating that Haryana is sending adequate water and questioned if AAP was protesting against its governance since they control Delhi's water management.
