The Patiala House Court in Delhi granted bail to Arun Reddy who was accused of handling the 'Spirit of Congress' X account in the fake video case involving Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He had to provide bail bonds worth Rs 50,000 and a surety of the same amount.
The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate mentioned that Reddy was accused of being the 'Admin' of a WhatsApp group where the fake video was first shared, but there was no evidence of him posting it elsewhere.
Arun was recently arrested by Delhi Police who manages the 'Spirit of Congress' X account related to the fake video case of Amit Shah.
In the video, Shah allegedly spoke against reservations but during a speech in Congress ruled Telangana, he clarified his stance on reservations.
Earlier Telangana Police had arrested five Congress workers linked to the same fake video case involving Shah.
