Indian-Americans Support To Biden Dropped To 19%

A bi-annual Asian American Voter Survey (AAVS) reveals a 19 per cent drop in support for President Joe Biden among Indian Americans from 2020 to 2024. 

The survey conducted by APIAVote, AAPI Data, AAJC and AARP, shows that 46 per cent of Indian Americans plan to vote for Biden in 2024 down from 65 per cent in 2020. 

This decline is the largest among Asian-American groups. Overall 46 per cent of Asian Americans support Biden, an 8 per cent decrease while Trump’s support increased by 1 per cent to 31 per cent. 

Despite Biden's declining support among Indian Americans, Trump’s favourability rating only increased from 28 to 30 per cent. 

Asian American voter numbers have grown by 15 per cent in four years influencing federal elections since 2016. 

The Indian-American vote is significant in battleground states. 

Biden's favourability among Indian Americans is 55 per cen, compared to Trump’s 35 per cent. 

Vice President Kamala Harris has a 54 per cent favourability rating while Nikki Haley has 33 per cent, with 11 per cent unaware of Haley.
